Leratiomyces percevallii — Mulch-maids — Strophariaceae


Small to medium mushroom. Convex cap maturing to broadly convex or bell-shaped, sticky when young, drying, honey-yellow aging to yellowish or more pale, finely hairy or smooth, margin with veil remnants. Gills attached or somewhat decurrent, whitish maturing to purple-black. Stalk taller than cap diameter, thick, equal or tapering at base, whitish turning reddish-brown, ring zone colored with spores. Veil thin, sometimes leaving patches or a zone on stalk. Saprophytic.
 
Habitat:
Scattered or gregarious , wood chips.

Scent: Not distinctive or radishlike

Spores: Purple-brown to blackish

Season: Autumn
