Hygrophoropsis pallida  —  Hygrophoropsidaceae


Small to medium mushroom. Convex cap, aging to broadly convex, velvety, margin inrolled when young; color whitish to buff or cream. Stalk tapers towards base, similar to cap in color. Sometimes velvety. Decurrent gills, attached to stalk, whitish to cream. Saprophytic.
 
Synonym:
Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca var. pallida
 
Habitat: Scattered to large groups, conifers.

Scent: Not distinctive

Spores: White

Season: Autumn
