Leucoagaricus rubrotinctus — Red-eyed Parasol — Agaricaceae


 
Medium-sized mushroom. Squarish broad cap, maturing to broadly convex, pinkish brown to orangish. Cap margin splits into radiating lines, exposing white flesh, center of cap remains dark. White gills free, close, do not bruise. Tall stalk whitish, sometimes swollen at base; thin, movable ring.
Saprophytic.

Habitat: Single or in groups. Forests, sometimes in landscaped areas.

Scent: Not distinctive

Spores: White

Season: Summer to Autumn
