Cystoderma cf. gruberianum  — Agaricaceae


Small mushroom, reddish-brown granular cap, convex, broadening with age. Gills yellowish-buff, edges sometimes eroding. Stalk with fibrils, similar color to cap. Grows in large bundle-like clusters. Saprophytic.

Habitat: Small groups or rings, on rotting conifer wood. Range: North America, Europe. Pacific Northwest to northern California.

Scent: Mild to strong, fungal

Spores: White to pale cream

Season: Summer to autumn
