Agaricus hondensis — Felt-ringed Agaricus — Agaricaceae


Medium-to-large mushroom, whitish or pale pink fibrillose cap darkening with age, fibrils turning reddish to brown. Rounded, becoming flattened. Gills pinkish-gray, becoming dark brown, close when young, free at maturity. Stalk without scales, bulbous at base, whitish turning brownish. Cap and stalk stain yellowish. Membranous white veil, forming thick ring that can become skirtlike. Saprophytic.

HABITAT: Growing on debris, sometimes in groups, forest settings
